ABOUT BLACKTOWN YOUTH COLLEGE

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Blacktown Youth College is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational school that is registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to deliver the RoSA and HSC (non ATAR).  The College is fee free, with no uniform requirements or other additional costs which might otherwise restrict students who wish to enrol.  Blacktown Youth College accepts enrolments for students Years 7-12.

The College offers students who may or will likely struggle in mainstream schools the opportunity to experience educational and personal development within a smaller school environment.

The College has two campuses, with the main one located in the old PCYC building at Hebersham.  This campus can cater for approximately 100 students.  The smaller campus is located at 1 Yileena Ave Lawson (about 5 minutes walk from the railway station) and caters for about 30 students.

The Hebersham Campus operates from 8.30am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday and is accredited by NESA to accept Stage 4 students (Years 7 & 8), Stage 5 (Years 9 & 10) and Stage 6 (Years 11 & 12). At this stage Lawson campus accepts only Stage 5 students.

Students are supported to meet their educational, social and personal development needs by a dedicated team of teachers, teachers’ aides and youth workers.  Students are also supported to transition to work or further training.

I would welcome any further enquiries you may have.

Sincerely,

Carol Everard
Head of School
